CROSS BORDER PROGRAM ITALY-AUSTRIA.

INTERREG

The Interreg V-A Italy-Austria program is a cross border program under the European Territorial Cooperation Goal  aiming to support a balanced and sustainable development and a harmonious integration of the border region between Italy and Austria. The main aim of the programme is to strengthen territorial cooperation and to maintain the quality of life and competitiveness in the border area between Italy and Austria. Presently, ADSI is project partner of P-Care and PreCanMed.

The program is funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) as well as national public contributions for a total of 98 million euro.

INTERREG ITALY-AUSTRIA.

P-CARE

P-CARE will strengthen the collaboration between Italian and Austrian research institutes, in the areas of genetics and biotechnology, with cancer clinics. The goals of this project are the formation of a technical platform for the investigation of the mechanisms causing therapy resistance, and the repositioning of drugs already approved for the treatment of other pathologies.

PRECANMED

PreCanMed develops one of the most advanced research technologies in cancer medicine: patient derived tumor organoids, which enable personalized cancer treatment. The project goal is to increase the knowledge with respect to the cultivation and preservation of tumor organoids (Live-Organoid-Biobanks).

HORIZON 2020

Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union, a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe’s global competitiveness. The funding of nearly 80 billion Euro made it the biggest R&D program, that has ever existed in Europe. ADSI is partner in two projects of the Marie-Sklodovska-Curie Program, OLIVE-Net and NEOSETAC.

OLIVE-NET

The OLIVE-NET project aims to introduce new approaches for the exploration, valorization and marketing of products based on bioactive compounds from the olive tree, olea europaea. ADSI was invited to participate in the OLIVE-NET project because of its extensive expertise on analysis technology for olive oil, resulting from a co‑operations between Prof. Leandros Skaltsounis from the University of Athens, and Prof. Danilo Corradini from the National Research Council in Rome.

 

HORIZON 2020.

NEOSETAC

The NEOSETAC project will demonstrate the therapeutic anti-cancer potential of a novel Selenium-based therapy for the management of breast cancer. NEOSETAC project focuses on breast cancer, the most common cancer in women. It comprises of 10.4% of all the cancer incidences among women, causing more than 400.000 deaths worldwide per year.
